What's the average cost of your wedding services?
My couples spend, on average, $4000. This is usually because they add on an engagement session and a 2nd photographer.
how do i reserve you for my wedding?
A $500 retainer and a signed contract is all that's needed for me to reserve your date.
Is a 2nd photographer included?
No. But a 2nd photographer can be added on to your wedding package for $50/hour. I suggest they stick around for about 5-6 hours, or until after the first dance at the reception.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I'm currently based in Sonoma County (specifically Santa Rosa, CA), but I'm available to travel to wherever your love takes me (with an additional travel and accommodation fee)! My passport is ready to go!
For locations requiring an overnight stay, I suggest having me arrive 2 days before your wedding and stay 1-2 day(s) after the wedding.
When will we get our photos?
You'll receive an online gallery link with all your photos within a maximum 12 weeks (sometimes less depending on the season I photograph your story). You can download all the photos from the gallery, share them, choose your favorites, and also order prints!
How many pictures will we receive?
For a 8 hours coverage wedding, you will receive between 600 to 800 fully edited images that best tells the full story of your wedding day.
can we get the raw files too?
Short answer: sorry (but not really), nope.
Long answer: If I give you the RAW files, it's not going to look like the final product you see here on my website. It's like asking a professional baker if you can get the ingredients for the super beautiful wedding cake you saw on their Instagram but not knowing the process of how to create it the same exact way as the baker. Also, the professional baker has equipment you don't have to achieve the same results. This is the same for professional wedding photographers: we have equipment (in this case, software & an editing routine) that processes these RAW files to make it look like the final results you see on their websites and social media. Yes, you're hiring me to take photos, but it's way beyond that. You're also investing in the expertise, talent and time it takes to make your photos even more awesome!
have you photographed at my venue before?
If I haven't been to your venue before, I always make time to visit your venue before the wedding day. I always suggest having me scout the venue with you so you can show me all the areas you wish to photograph in, in advance. Examples of days where we can all be there is: A. When you plan the next visit to your venue, B. The day of your rehearsal. For destination weddings, I recommend that I arrive at least 2 days before your wedding so that I have some time to rest after arrival (the last thing you want is a v tired photographer on your wedding day!), and use the next day to scout your venue.
can i give you a photo/shot list?
I have a mental checklist of what I usually photograph on a wedding day. BUT if there are any unique photos or details about your wedding, definitely let me know before your big day so I don't miss it! about 2 weeks before your wedding, we'll go over the photography timeline and details.
when should i send you my wedding timeline?
As soon as you have one! I like to be prepared ahead of time so I at least have an idea of how the day will plan out and give any suggestions if you like.
when will we receive our USB/prints/album?
About 2 weeks after you've sent me your print selections or 6 weeks after you've approved your album. Prints take about 1 week to order & receive, albums take about 4 weeks. After I've done a quality check (this is we're my QA skills come in handy!) and there's no need for reprints, then your items will be mailed all together.
Can I see a full wedding gallery before booking?
Absolutely! When you inquire, just let me know that you'd like to check some galleries out and I'll send a couple links over.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Mailed check, Zelle/bank transfer, or sending payments through my client management system (the payment option will pop-up after you've signed your contract).
do you offer videography services?
I do not LOL. BUT I do KNOW some very talented videographers that I can refer you to. IN FACT. When you officially book with me, I send you a list of my preferred vendors that includes videographers, DJs, florists, hair and make up artists, etc., and out-of-the box vendors (such as boba caterers or mobile bartenders/bar carts)! I've worked with most of the vendors on my list. The ones I haven't worked with come highly recommended from other friendors (vendor friends).
Are you insured?
Yes! If your venue needs a vendor's proof of insurance, simply let me know and I can provide the documents they need. The easiest and less stressful way is to give your venue my email contact, firstname.lastname@example.org, and they can directly request and receive the documents.
